This romantic fifth anniversary session at Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, Maryland is a little further down the love story timeline than I normally get to meet my couples at, but it’s just as sweet!

Justin wanted to surprise Brandi with professional photos for their 5th anniversary and reached out to me to help him make it happen. In my profession, I get to meet couples who are in a whole range of stages in their relationships, from only knowing each other for less than a year, to dating for many years, to knowing each other for years but losing touch only to be reconnected and start their love story. Less often I capture couples who have already been married for years, and it’s a treat. Working with Justin and Brandi I got to see how comfortable they are in their marriage and with each other. The smallest glances would elicit the biggest smiles and the most genuine laughs. This entire 45 minute session was filled with near constant laughter.

To be able to keep each other laughing regularly for 5 years definitely takes work but I’m SURE it’s something that will keep happening for the next 5 and beyond with Justin and Brandi. It’s something I hope for all the great couples I get to work with, regardless of what stage they are at in their relationship!
